Karen Slater

Karen has nearly thirty years of experience exclusively in family law. Karen graduated from Cerritos College in 1993 with an A.A. Degree and Paralegal Certificate. Karen has also been a California Notary Public since 2002.

Karen uses her considerable multitasking skills experience to help families in transition by providing detailed support to the attorneys and her clients. From complex litigation cases to simple uncontested divorces, she is involved from beginning to end. Karen assists clients by providing regular contact and updates, managing the discovery process, maintaining the case calendar and deadlines, and drafting pleadings and letters. She also maintains all document production and the client case file, and is integral in preparing for mediations, late case evaluations, hearings and trials.

A true native of Southern California, Karen enjoys making jewelry, painting, traveling, and especially shopping the local community farmers markets and craft shows. Karen lives in Los Angeles County with her husband and their two rescue cats, Luigi and Daisy.
